Day 2 Barcelona
After breakfast, our tour begins with Girona, the pearl of Northern Catalonia, built at the confluence of the Onyar, Galligants, and Geltrú rivers. The region is historically very rich, having survived dozens of invasions and reigns since the Iberians. All structures were built from stone and have been preserved remarkably well, fully reflecting the spirit of the past. With its museums, churches, cobblestone narrow streets, and medieval walls, it is a favorite among tourists. Among the sights are the Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the Jewish Quarter. After the tour, we set off towards the city of Figueras. Its importance lies in the fact that the surrealist artist Salvador Dali was born here in 1904. Dali established a museum in this place to leave a mark and exhibit his works. Today, this museum holds the largest collection of Dali’s works and is known as Dali’s greatest masterpiece because he designed every part of it. Inside the museum, there are over 4,000 works created by Dali using various techniques. Afterwards, we begin the A to Z Barcelona tour; El Born and Gothic Quarter walk. Guided by our guide, we will embark on a journey through the beauties of historic Barcelona, whose history dates back 2,000 years. Walking along La Rambla street, we will see La Boqueria (Covered Market) dating from the 19th century, then dive into side streets to see the magnificent remains of Roman-era Barcelona, including Augustus Temple, the Jewish Quarter, the Palace of the Barcelona Barons, the Royal Archives of Aragon Building, the Barcelona Gothic Cathedral, Bisbe Bridge, and Sant Jaume Square. Then we move to the El Born neighborhood to see the Catalan Cultural Center, where excavations revealed streets where the 18th-century Catalan uprisings took place, which played an important role in Catalan history, and the "Cathedral of the People," Maria del Mar Cathedral, which has been the subject of films. At the end of the tour, you will have a chance to catch your breath and taste the flavors of Catalan cuisine during the free time given at Passeign del Born, the center of bohemian life famous for its cafes and bars in El Born. After the tour ends and free time concludes, we head to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

Upon arrival in Granada, our panoramic city tour includes; the main avenue of the city Grand Via, the historic La Rambla Square, and Plaza del Carmen City Hall Square. After the city tour, we proceed with the Alhambra Palace Tour. Granada was a Muslim city in the Middle Ages, and this city was protected by a magnificent fortress known as Alhambra, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, which became the subject of fairy tales. The Alhambra Palace dominated the skies of Granada due to its location and 37 towers accompanying its high walls. Construction took more than 150 years. However, what makes the Alhambra Palace the most visited place in Spain is more than just being a well-protected military shelter. It is a palace where pleasure and enjoyment were enjoyed in elegant courtyards, deadly intrigues took place, and it is also the largest and most beautiful example of Islamic architecture in the West. Known for the inscriptions "There is no victor but Allah" carved thousands of times on all its walls, the enchanting palace seems to have come out of the 1001 Nights stories. The Alhambra was unexpectedly lost by Sultan Muhammad XII (Boabdil) to Queen Isabel. In the same year, it was declared the royal capital of the Spanish Kingdom, and royal decisions launching Christopher Columbus’s voyage were made here. All the stories of the palace known today were compiled by the famous writer Washington Irving under the title "Tales of the Alhambra." During our Alhambra Palace tour, we will visit the Gardens of the Arif, the Summer Palace, the Palace of the famous Emperor Charles V, the Alcazaba Fortress, and depending on availability, the Nasrid Palaces. Unforgettable memories, stories, and photos await you on this fairy-tale-like and enchanting tour. After our tour, we transfer to our hotel. For guests who wish, we will also conduct the Sacromonte Gypsy Quarter and Albaicin tour (60 EUR). In this tour, after strolling through Albaicin, the former Muslim quarter listed in the Spanish cultural heritage list and under protection, we watch the Gypsy show and their lifestyle while enjoying a drink in caves entirely made by hand.

Its city architecture, showcasing the expansion stages of the city and different art forms ruling in different periods, captivates its visitors. Capital Madrid is the city with the country’s most impressive night lighting. During our tour; we will find ourselves suddenly on Gran Via, the most luxurious street of the 1900s, while admiring the colossal statue of Cybele, the nature goddess depicted on her chariot drawn by lions, at the Cibeles Fountain and its enchanting view. Day 7 Madrid-Toledo-Istanbul
On the last day of the trip, after breakfast, we complete check-out procedures and depart for Toledo. Undoubtedly, Toledo, the capital of the Castile-La Mancha region located 70 km southwest of Madrid, is one of the most important cities in Spanish history. With its image carrying traces of all civilizations that have come to Spain, it offers unforgettable memories to its visitors. Surrounded by the Tagus River, built on protected steep rocks, and encircled by high walls, the city has always been a valuable city throughout history, from Romans to Visigoths, from Andalusia to the Spanish Kingdom. Also, Toledo, which was the center of Judaism until the late 15th century on the Iberian Peninsula, hosts many important structures ranging from Europe’s oldest surviving synagogue to dozens of churches converted from mosques and the magnificent cathedral where Spain was religiously governed, and is like a mosaic where three monotheistic religions and peoples intermingled. Until the Empire moved its capital to Madrid in 1561, the city of Toledo was the political, cultural, commercial, and military center; it also served as an inspiration source for Cervantes’ immortal work "Don Quixote of La Mancha," and a large part of the story takes place in this city and its surroundings. For all these reasons, Toledo has found its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among the places we will see during our tour are; the famous viewpoint where you can photograph the magnificent view of the city remaining from the 16th century as if it were a painting, San Martin Bridge, San Juan Monastery, Jewish Quarter, Santo Tome Church, Santa Maria Cathedral Square, the shopping street where you can find everything unique to the city, and the city’s central Zocodover Square. During the free time after the tour, you can taste Mazapan, almond paste unique to Toledo, and try Manchego, matured sheep cheese recognized worldwide by Spain and named after this region. As a souvenir, you can examine swords, knives, or accessories made with traditional methods, which are produced in the place where the most famous steel of the Middle Ages was made and even used in Hollywood movies. Additionally, you can purchase telkari products inherited from the Andalusian period of the city, known as Damascening (Damasquinado), decorated with beautiful motifs with gold wires in different settings. After the free time ends, we return to Madrid. After our tour, our transfer to Madrid Airport takes place at the time specified by the tour leader. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines’s flight. Arrival in Istanbul. Hope to see you on your next journey …
